The Partners

FAROOK OWADALLY - FCCA MBA - Managing Partner

My background

I have been the Managing Partner of Owadally & King since 1999. I trained and qualified with the firm in 1988.

In addition to providing assistance to clients in all areas of their business including professional practices, business advice and negotiations, I am also responsible for developing and implementing the firm's growth strategy and for providing leadership. I act for a mixed portfolio of small and medium sized businesses. My work involves providing taxation and strategic advice to both corporate and private clients.

Away from the office

I am married with two children. As a French speaker born in a cosmopolitan country and having lived in West Africa for a number of years, I am able to call on my international experience when required.

Recently I have been directly involved with the financing and production of a film comedy called 'One Night In Instanbul' which is linked with Liverpool FC, my favourite football club.

 My background

I have been a Partner of Owadally & King since October 2005.

I joined the firm after leaving university in 1986 as a trainee accountant, going to evening and weekend classes to study for my ACCA qualification.

I act for a mixed portfolio of small and medium sized businesses applying my particular brand of charm and extensive experience to providing tax and technical advice together with broader business guidance.

I believe in getting to know their life and business goals as a
precursor to offering insightful guidance..

Away from the office

I am married with two step children.  I am a Deacon at Selsdon Baptist Church and through my involvement as a church leader  I have become a member of Prison Outreach Network and regularly visit Brixton Prison. I also help run a floating shelter for the homeless between 1st January and 31st March each year.

I follow just about any sport you can think of and am an avid West Ham United fan. I also enjoy reading, stand- up comedy , theatre and walking (particularly in the Yorkshire Dales).

I have also in my time owned a share in a number of horses, one was good enough to be placed two years running at Royal Ascot.  One of the highlights in my life was leading one of those horses into the winners enclosure at Sandown Park live on Channel 4.
